Because of the World Wide Web and also how easy it is to travel these days, we are all now more connected than ever before.  I keep meeting people from the same small areas where I have lived and really, it’s amazing how much we all move around.  (By the way, on planes, you can meet the nicest people and it’s encouraging to know the world isn’t all so bad as the news media wants you to think.)  There are still plenty of normal, nice people out there.

If you haven’t flown lately, I highly recommend it.  It always gives me such appreciation for my home when I get back from a trip.  I just love my home in TN.  Last week, while we were on Mount Veeder in Napa, Ca, we were at the heart of a small earth quake in the middle of the night.  I was woken up to rattling of the windows loud enough to make me think there was a BEAR trying to get in!  Funny thing was- there are no bears in Napa, my husband reminded me.  The weird things you think when woken out of a sleep!

Anyway, here’s my tip for the day: I get on Priceline and get the special rate where you don’t know what airport will be your transfer spot or what time. It’s so much cheaper to get where you are going.  You fill in where you want to go and the date and they find you the deal.  Plus, it’s a surprise what you will be flying over.  Here’s a beautiful picture of our take-off from San Fran.  Oh, I had a good laugh because our flight from Sacramento to San Francisco was a whopping 28 minutes.  It took longer to check in, board and wait for luggage than it would have been to drive there, but that’s where our transfer was.  It’s all an adventure!

I hope you all have a beautiful day and can ignore all the bad news you hear this morning because God says “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
